One Slashdot contributor reports: “There’s bits and pieces of information floating around that revolve around Iwata Asks interviews on Nintendo’s website: ‘Wii is the first system from Nintendo that we can continue to be involved in (via operating system updates) after the customer buys it. This means that Wii will greatly expand and diversify the ways in which people will ...
Is it wrong that I think the N64 is the most aesthetically pleasing system despite its being my least favorite Nintendo console (not considering the Virtual Boy, Game & Watch, etc.)?
I want to shed the label of biased Nintendo fanboy, I really do, but when the people offering up counterpoints to pro-Wii writers like Brier Dudley are as dense as ITWire’s Stan Beer, it just makes things difficult. To preface my forthcoming remarks, let me say that Nintendo’s quest to woo non-gamers with the Wii will be a tough fight. That said, let’s take a look-see at what the...
The Seattle Times‘ Brier Dudley has really taken a liking to Nintendo’s new system. In his article today he even rambles on about rowing out to the freighters coming to Seattle as part of an elaborate attempt to score one of the first Wii consoles to hit American shores. “I try to be skeptical during product demonstrations, but this one left me convinced the Wii (pronounced ̶...

Thanks to a blurry cameraphone and Engadget, we now have some of the first pics of Wii accessories that will be hitting store shelves in November. The pics show Wii controller gloves, dog tags (!?), and what appears to be a travel case, all housed in Wii-themed endcaps that will brazenly showcase the console and its games very soon. More pics in the Source link below.

Cubed recently got some hands on time with WiiSports, the pack-in game with the Wii, and I think the article goes a long way to dispel the concerns some might have about this title. What struck me most about the hands on review was the amount of flexibility the player has — with the tennis game especially (figuratively and literally). It sounds simple to do the moves, but at the same time th...
Infendo reader Robert has made it known that Zellers (a Canadian retailer along the same line as Walmart) is offering Wii pre-orders. The Wii console is bundled with a game, either Rayman Raving Rabbids or Excite Truck, for $319.99 CAD. As if that deal isn’t sweet already, apparently the price is after tax! Each store is allowing a limited amount of pre-orders until November 18, so hurry fas...
My mate from Joystiq, Kevin, has posted his impressions after playing PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii versions of Activision’s Call of Duty 3. He is very enthusiastic for the Wii version despite its “GameCubish” visuals. From the preview: “You would accuse us of drinking and Wii-ing if you had seen our first two tries at the game, spinning in place and lurching around like Mel Gibso...

Fun Fact: Did you know you can get a Wii for as little as $40 plus tax and batteries in November? True story. I alluded to this fact in my rant against the establishment yesterday, but I think it may have gotten a bit lost in the chaos that ensued within the comment section afterwards. For a refresher, my point was this: Buying a Wii and three controllers at once defeats the purpose of the console...
