Animal Crossing Does Well in Japan

After only a week of sales in Japan, Animal Crossing: Wild World for the DS has sold about 350,000 units. Along with the popularity of the game, the weekly sales for the Nintendo DS nearly tripled to about 160,000 units.

I’m definitely getting this game for myself, so I’m wondering how it’s going to sell here in North America. Hopefully, just as well as in Japan, because sales like this mean good things for Nintendo, especially as Christmas approaches.
