Youtube IGN Tuesday – What if…
Tatsunoko Vs Capcom was a classic Arcade Shooter?

Oh wait! It might just be built into the game! Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars will be featuring what I will be calling the first “Medi” game, a medium sized game featured in a bigger game. This TvC: Ultimate All-Shooters is a classic 2D shoot-em-up in the style of past Capcom classics such as “Legendary Wings” and “Commando.” The game takes place on the snow-covered wastelands of Lost Planet series, and pits you against hordes of hungry Akrid bugs.

It has four unique playable characters: Ryu and the PTX-40A from the Capcom side, and Ken the Eagle and Tekkaman from the Tatsunoko side. All of the characters move in their own way, and have character-specific regular and special attacks (shinku-hadoken anyone?). It has mini-bosses, bosses, and MEGA bosses, different paths to take through the game, and you can play up to 4-player coop!

Tatsunoko vs Capcom just seems to get better and better the more I learn about it. What do you guys think?
