Arguably the most anticipated title to be released this year is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The predecessors to Modern Warfare 3 have done rather well on the Wii, but until today it was unconfirmed whether the newest  entry in the franchise would find its way onto a Nintendo platform. Worry no more, Modern Warfare 3 is Wii-bound.In an investor’s conference call, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg confirmed, “We will release a Modern Warfare 3 Wii SKU this year.” Seeing as how Call of Duty: Black Ops has sold a copy or two, it’s no wonder that Hirshberg says the decision to make a Wii version was, “so as to not leave any of the community out of the excitement.”
While I am not a huge fan of the Call of Duty franchise, I certainly welcome the effort put forth by publishers to bring triple A titles to Wii. Even if it is a dumbed down port.
