The pre-order demand for the Wii has taken another victim. After GameStops across the U.S. were stripped of their 12+ console allotments by the ravaging mass of Nintendophiles (and a few Infendo readers, I might add), we learned over the weekend that the Nintendo World Store in Mahattan has stopped taking preoders as well. No word yet on how many orders were taken, cuz Nintendo ain’t saying.
I have a question though. If Wii inventory is as robust as the manufacturing numbers are shaping up to be, then is preordering really necessary? I guess the rest of us will know on November 19 as we sit huddled in a shivering group outside a Best Buy; our DS’s the only source of light and warmth.
