Nintendo shot off a press release detailing their North America WiFi plans. The majority of it is straight forward news that had already been released, but one part stuck out to me:
Outside of the home, players will be able to connect in a variety of ways, including at thousands of free Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection hotspots nationwide. More details about these hotspots and how to connect outside of the home will be announced shortly.
I wonder if these WiFi hotspots are going to be open to all Internet users and not just Nintendo players. I can’t wait to see if there will be one near me.
