Someone has already remade the Mario Kart 8 Wave 2 Courses in Mario Kart Wii

In a bewildering triumph of dedication and nostalgia, a group of talented modders have already gone ahead and created Mario Kart Wii versions of all of the Booster Course Pass Wave 2 stages for Mario Kart 8.

For reference, this batch of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC had been out for just under 24 hours before the video went live… And while many of these tracks were most likely created a while ago, Sky High Sundae is a brand new course that was just released for the first time during this round of DLC. So again, mad props to the modders who make these sorts of feats possible.

If you aren’t a switch online member, don’t have the money to spend on the DLC, or happen to be the only person on the planet who doesn’t own Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, now you can play these courses, or at least a variation of them, on the equally accessible Mario Kart Wii.

Check out the video below from 64iOS, who compiles these sorts of mod videos on YouTube, to see all 8 of these remade Mario Kart 8 Wave 2 tracks in their late-2000’s glory:

For the full Sky High Sundae experience, check out his follow-up video, which showcases the course in 3 glorious laps, complete with Paper Mario riding a rocket, because there are no rules and we make our own destiny now:

How are you enjoying the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 2 DLC? Do you have any plans to break out the Wii and try these retro remakes? Let us know in the comments!
