Sneak Peek: Nintendo eShop for the Wii U

Mario or Luigi? The choice is yours eShoppers.

Nintendo of Japan recently posted photos of what the Wii U version of the eShop will look and operate. For now, not much to report as the page’s descriptions are in Japanese, and I’m not the go-to translator at Infendo.com sadly. However, the one screengrab does show off a clean and (maybe?) streamlined interface. Again, just a preview of what will hopefully lead to a North America specific Nintendo Direct. Stay tuned!

Harrison Milfeld is a writer, editor, and freelance journalist from Missouri. Ever since he could walk, Harrison has been an avid fan of the world of Nintendo. For years, he has purchased every one of the company's subsequent products (yes, including the Virtual Boy and eReader). It wasn't until he was a young teen when he bought a PS2 that he began to embrace cross-console relations, a decision he doesn't regret. When he's not gaming, Harrison is looking to break into the magazine journalism industry and realize his dream of becoming a features reporter.

  1. So many people love Luigi more than Mario, lol. Speaking of, I love how Luigi has grown into the “Unlockable” instead of just being player two. Everyone loves Luigi, and it seems to give people a drive to beat the games so they can play as Luigi. Has anyone other than me really noticed this? I started noticing it in SMG. Even though it really started with NSMB.

  2. That was a little off topic, eh? Anyhow the interface actually looks really cool! The Wii’s was rather boring and a little difficult to manage, imo. I’m so hyped for Wii U! Gotta camp out at the local Target, since they aren’t taking preorders.

  3. I choose Mario!
