Pokemon Sells More Than 172 Million Units!

Since the launch of Pokemon Red and Blue, the Pokemon franchise has sold very well.  It has been a long journey since 1996, but Pokemon is coming close to selling 175 million units, which it will probably do after X and Y releases, but the current 172 Million units it has sold so far is not too shabby!  Currently, the only franchise beating out Pokemon is the Mario franchise which has sold well over 200 Million units.
