Nintentunes: Kinda late edition

So weekends should be all about rest, right? Yeah, tell that my life. Soccer to coach, work to…work at, laundry to do. No rest for the weary, right? On the bright side, I was able to squeeze out a Nintentunes post for all to enjoy. This week we take a journey to the deadliest of towers, go golfing with Kirby, and even take a trip to space! Click on through to enjoy the great music!

NES – Deadly Towers
Deadly Towers is the worst NES game of all time. There I said it. Maybe that’s a little too harsh. The game is bad to be sure, but I haven’t played EVERY game on the NES so there could be a worse one out there. Maybe. Deadly Towers is an action-adventure/RPG of sorts that is near impossible to complete. Well, it’s impossible to WANT to complete it. I mean who throws a sword, honestly! I’m done. Don’t play this game, I warned you.

SNES – Kirby’s Dream Course
I love me some Kirby’s Dream Course. In fact, for years after playing this game, I had no idea that Kirby wasn’t just a glorified golf ball. You see, I had never played any of the traditional Kirby games before Dream Course, so I had no idea. Kirby’s Dream Course is a fantastic blend of miniature golf with power-ups from the Kirby universe. The courses are fantastically designed and are the perfect mix of challenging and creative. If you are in the mood for a great party game and have a few Wii points laying around, download this game on the Virtual Console. You can’t go wrong with Dream Course.

N64 – Harvest Moon 64
Yeah I play Harvest Moon. No, I don’t care if you call me girly. Ok, I might care a little bit. Don’t do that, I’m sensitive. Anywho, Harvest Moon 64 is the third, and in my opinion the best, game in the Harvest Moon series. This game was Farmville before Farmville knew it was Farmville. And you can raise a family. What more do you want!?

Gamecube – Capcom Vs. SNK 2 EO
Ok, I’m going to say it. I hate the Capcom Vs. SNK series. Nothing against those of you who like them, but they are just not for me. Especially the Gamecube EO (easy operation) version of the game. Because, you know, Nintendo fans don’t know how to play fighting games properly, so we had to have and easy mode. I mean, come on, the game REMOVED features from the original game. Maybe I’m being to hard on the game, or perhaps I’m not being hard enough…

Wii – Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Mario Galaxy was the definitive reason to own a Wii when it came out. The game was simply outstanding. Then Super Mario Galaxy 2 was released and improved on everything from its predecessor, and it became an instant must have title for anyone who owned a Wii. I didn’t think it was possible, but Galaxy 2 is right up there with my all time favorite Mario titles of all time. If this game isn’t in your collection….what’s wrong with you!
