When I had my trip to E3 this year, I spent a lot of time looking at various games for the Wii and the DS. And out of all of the  the Wii games I played I had the best time with Muramasa and the Demon Blade. The game plays smooth and looks fantastic in motion, especially during intense quick battles with ninjas and various enemies you fight.

For those of you who don’t know much about the game, Muramasa is a game set in the Gengoku era of Japan. Where an emperor was searching for powerful swords one of which being a demon sword forged by the sword smith Muramasa. As Muramasa’s blades were considered the sharpest and most deadly swords in Japan, it was said that they craved for blood and would caused the untimely death to anyone who fight against them.

Yet the game is about two characters named Kisuke and Monohime. Kisuke a fugitive being chased for a crime he no longer remembers. His only desire and memory is that he is searching for a certain katana. Momohime, after being possessed by the soul of foul swordsman Jinkuro Izuna, is forced to flee her castle and accept Jinkuro’s offer to complete his diabolical plan.

Muramasa has two different story modes, and three different difficulty modes, and depending on the difficulty you learn more about the characters. With great replay value and fantastic visuals and controls I don’t see how anyone would pass this game up.

Are you guys going to pick this one up next week?
