I assume it’s because of the pending release of the Virtual Console, but there have been a spate of top [number here] lists for the NES arriving on the Internet tubes lately. This latest one is interesting not only because I agreed with most of the titles on the list (including numero uno, a certain yellow-boxed title that I waited in line for at a local K-Mart back in the day), but also because of the authors’ use of colorful language and veteran NES terminology. It was the kind of sarcastic snark and cynicism a codger like myself could appreciate.
