Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for 3DS confirmed for western release

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in the west in early 2015. In the video above, Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto makes the announcement and talks about various aspects of the game: “You can expect the biggest leap forward ever for the series,” he says. The game will appeal to experienced Monster Hunter players while attracting new players to the series, include more vertical exploration, and improve the online multiplayer experience.

I’m not too familiar with the Monster Hunter series, so if 4 Ultimate is more accessible to newbies like me, who I am to complain? For those of you who’ve played the series, what part of the announcement video has you the most excited?

In addition to being a girl gamer, Holly prides herself on being a red-head. Consequently, the blue shell in the Mario Kart series is her natural enemy. Don't worry, though: she still loves Mario Kart and is very good, despite the occasional blue shell-sabotaged race. Like any Nintendo fan, Holly also loves Zelda, Pokemon, Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, name it. But she'll try just about anything (besides horror games) and has a soft spot for unique, little-known rhythm games like Rhythm Heaven and Samba de Amigo. NNID: Aeroweth
