TMK writes: “It is interesting to note that neither the Japanese nor American versions of SMB3 in Super Mario All-Stars are based on their respective NES versions… both games contain an amalgamation of the Japanese and English versions, with the level changes remaining from English version, along with the graphic “gimmicks” from the Japanese one.”
