Near the end of Nintendo’s Digital Event early this morning, Reggie Fils-Aime did his best Steve Jobs impression of “And one more thing.” That “one more thing” you ask? Well, a new addition to the Super Smash Bros. roster.
The new addition is none other than Palutena from Kid Icarus. The reveal starts off with a stunningly beautiful hand-drawn animated sequence with Link and Pit dueling to the best of their abilities. At the tail end of the trailer, Palutena is revealed followed by in-game footage of the character. In addition, we get a tease of a possible new roster character in the form of Dark Pit, but it’s likely he could b easily an assist trophy.
