It’s been 20 years since the Super Mario Bros. Movie was released in theaters, and, fortunately, it’s still remains a vital piece of cinematic farce. However, that hasn’t stopped actor and comedian who played Luigi Mario, John Leguizamo, on reminiscing on his time working on the movie alongside Bob Hoskins (who has previously mentioned the film was “the worst thing he ever did.”) and the late Dennis Hopper. Leguizamo goes into detail about how Hoskins would approach him switching between his British accent and his character’s Brooklyn accent. In addition, Leguizamo even shows off an action figure of his character that he has had in his possession since 1993.
