The folks at Play-Nintendo got some info from Opera about the future of Wii’s Internet Channel. Not all (or even most) of their questions were answered, but a couple new revelations popped up:
- Opera and Nintendo are planning the release for the final version of the browser for late March/early April.
- The browser for Wii will be regularly updated.
Hopefully future updates will allow for Java or new versions of Flash to come along for the ride. Honestly, I don’t really use the browser at all. It was fun for a week or so after it launched, but I haven’t found a really good use for it other than playing some online Flash games.
