Got a match? How ’bout Europe and the DS

Much like its region-free siblings in Japan and North America, the European version of the DS is enjoying the spoils of great hardware and software, but do you know by how much?

Try 3:1. As in, a 3:1 sales margin over the glossy, more-at-home-on-a-coffee-table-than-in-your-hands brick that the PSP has become. The same PSP that was going to reinvent portable gaming and rescue the genre “from the gutter.”

I know that some folks have expressed reservations that massive DS sales will eat into the Wii’s eventual popularity, but I think that as long as the Nintendo brand is getting stronger we are only a year or two away from those days long gone when “playing Nintendo” was synonymous with video games.

Anyone playing Clubhouse Games yet?
