GameDaily’s top 10 greatest consoles rearranged by popular opinion

I thought it would be fun to rearrange GameDaily’s response provoking Top 10 Greatest Consoles using the reader polls that accompany the list — in other words, the most deserving (listed) systems according to the popular opinion of site visitors. They are:

1. NES (91%)
2. Super NES (90%)
3. Nintendo 64 (82%)
4. Nintendo DS (74%)
5. Sony PlayStation 2 (73%)
6. Sega Genesis (70% popular vote)
7. Nintendo GameCube (69%)
8. Sony PlayStation (68%)
9. Sega Dreamcast (57%)
10. Microsoft Xbox 360 (35%)

Obviously, the Xbox 360 took unjust flack for being named number 1 on the original list, even if it bricks more often than it should. And I wouldn’t put the N64 that high, the DS isn’t a “console,” and the PS2 should be higher. Original list as follows:
