Speaking to U.K.-based GameIndustry.biz, V.P. and chief operating officer of EA’s worldwide studios David Gardner said he “heard that in Japan the price of the Wii will be $170.”
No kidding. I “heard” that it was too, especially since I read the post Blake wrote about that very same price point earlier this month here on Infendo.
While this is indeed an interesting development, from what I got out of reading the article was that this EA guy has a computer with access to the Internet and was able to read any of the dozens of blogs that reported the Japanese financial analyst firm’s prediction about the $170 price tag. I’m all for rumor and speculation, but this sounds suspiciously like making a mountain out of a mole hill. And I hate mole hills.
