Infendo-ites (or as one commenter put it, the 10 people that come to this site), this is a reminder that Infendo Radio’s 4th show is going down tomorrow morning. We’ll be covering the newsworthy posts of the week, discussing controversial Infendo articles, and we might just have a guest on the show! Be sure to send in e-mails and voicemails with your questions and comments. Or just tel...
A couple of nice apps on the handhelds that play for Nintendo’s team. From Spain comes Lupi with a DS Zelda homebrew codenamed Zelda Platformer. While he’s coding the enemy engine at the moment, so far Lupi’s achieved a level system, collision system, life system with hearts, Link sound effects, title screen, most sword attacks, bombs, arrows, and an 8-direction boomerang. When h...
Mark your calendar for this Friday night, 8pm EST for our second Metroid Prime Hunters meetup numero dos. I’ll be hosting a game, along with a slew of others, so stop by, chat via VOIP, and kick my sorry trash. See you then, and be sure to follow the link to update your friend codes.
Become no. 1 in so much more than just the home console scene. That seems to be Nintendo’s new strategy. Red Herring writes: “It’s exactly what you’d expect the underdog to say. While Microsoft and Sony have amassed more weaponry than Congolese warlords in the coming battle over who will lead the next generation of video game consoles, third-place Nintendo says it is conten...
A while back we linked to a story from Kotaku about the Mario Party mini pez with no link to buy them, but last week I found a Gacha Gacha machine in Shibuya where you can get one of the dispensers at random for only Â¥200 (just under two dollars). There are actually a lot more Gacha Gacha with Mario Pez in them than I thought there would be so perhaps if there’s interest I’ll pick up ...
I thought when the sequel to rakugaki jiten came out, one specifically for studying Kanji (Chinese characters used in Japanese language), that the DS had reached it’s pinacle of games that were made to utilize character recognition on the DS. I was saddened however, that no developer seemed interested in creating an actual game that was both fun and educational, in order to learn the most co...
How come the Revolution doesn’t support Bluetooth with controller extensions? I’m not knocking the decision not to (and maybe they still will at E3) but we live in a wireless world, especially a wireless gaming one that Nintendo helped create.
An Infendo tipster writes: “I found the original player example images from Game Informer’s Red Steel article on Flickr, including a bunch that weren’t used in the article. Gives a nice glimpse at the Revmote.” [Thanks, MisterInvisible]
That was fast. Soon after Ubisoft confirmed the game for the Revolution as an exclusive, they now have a teaser site up for the title. Similar to whack-a-mole, you can mindlessly move around a digital gun or sword. Normally I wouldn’t post this, but being the first official Revolution game website that I know of, it gets the honor.
In case you missed Infendo Radio show number 3, here’s the results from last week’s survey. With the addition of a few more votes, the picks were tied with 36% of the vote thinking the next GBA will be a portable GameCube, and another 36% thinking the handheld will be reinvented like the Rev and DS. Thanks for voting, and be sure to vote on this week’s poll regarding the end of t...
The Japanese phenomenon that was Brain Training might make a repeat here in North America. Punch Jump writes: “Pre-orders for the Nintendo DS mental exercise game Brain Age have soared on buzz of daily training that can keep brains in shape. On Monday’s Amazon.com Computer and Video Games sales charts, Brain Age leaped from #135 to the #5 position.” Brain Age for the Nintendo DS ...
So, May 15th there’ll be a new Mario game. Back to its roots, 2D with beefed up 3D characters, straight up platforming goodness, right outta the classic formula. Everyone’s excited. Everyone else, anyway. I dunno, when i see new screens of “New Super Mario Bros.” each week, the reaction they illicit isn’t excitement. Mario’s huge with a mushroom, Mario’s s...
