What’s the deal with Tingle?
No, I’m not talking about that feeling you get when you use Head and Shoulders, I’m referring to the green guy that has showed up in every Zelda title since The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (he’s even in Super Smash Bros. Melee, in the Termina Stage).
Both 1UP and Cubed are reporting that Tingle, the asexual creature spawned in Zelda titles, might be getting the translation treatment if the results of a new survey on Nintendo’s web site show U.S. interest. As it stands now, Tingle is set to star in his very own game in Japan for the DS, titled Mogitate Tingle no Barairo Rupee Land. The game is a regular coming of age tale, and tells the story of Tingle when he was a regular person and how he later became the, well, whatever the heck he was in previous The Legend of Zelda games.
Maybe I’m not the rabid Nintendo fan I thought I was, but is there really that much demand for this character? I mean, look at him. Honestly.
