Wii makes Toys R Us "Hot List"

Aeropause let everyone know today that the Wii has made the illustrious Toys R Us “Hot List.” It’s yet another example of how Nintendo has slowly but surely started to take over the entire world. Errm, or maybe the gaming industry — again.

“This year’s, ‘Hot Toy’ list is out for Toys ‘R’ Us and only one console is on it, the Nintendo Wii. This is the first time a video game console has ever made their exclusive holiday hot list […] Toys ‘R’ Us specified that one of the criteria for the ‘Hot Toy List’ is sufficient stock of a new product for the holiday season and I’m sure generating a lot of pre-launch buzz is huge as well.”

Other hot items on the list include:

* Blue Man Group Percussion Tubes from ToyQuest,
* Dora’s Talking Cash Register from Fisher-Price,
* Kid-Tough Digital Camera from Fisher-Price,
* Laugh & Learn Baby Grand Piano from Fisher-Price,
* Mindstorms NXT from Lego,
* My Scene My Bling Bling Styling Head from Mattel,
* Power Rangers Deluxe Manticore Megazord from Bandai,
* Tap Dancing Mumble from Thinkway,
* T.M.X. Elmo from Fisher-Price

Yes, I have asked for them all. Aeropause also dropped this bit, which I had no idea was going on: “Toys “R” Us also has a pre-order promotion running right now that with a $50 reservation, you get a free game at launch.
