June has a lot of things going for it. e3 starts next month, 3DS gets it’s first “must have” title, and the eShop finally launches for Nintendo’s newest handheld. Not to bad!
I always love revising old classics so the most exciting feature for the eShop, to me, is the virtual console support. As such, I would like to ask you, Infendo, what classic games are you hoping to be released on Nintendo’s virtual store?
For me, I can’t wait to play The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for the Game Boy, and the two Game Boy Color Zelda titles, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. I have never played the Game Gear so I cannot attest to that.
What about you, Infendo? What are you looking forward to?

My dream eshop? Not just GB/GBC support but also support for the GBA/DS. Those four consoles have way to many games for me to mention, but for *now* with what will be there:
Link’s Awakening
Metroid II
RC Proam
The GB Castlevania
Super Mario Land 1, 2 ,3
Just off the top of my head.

I agree, GBA support would be great and the 3DS should have the power to emulate it. It wouldn’t have to emulate DS games since it has that capability built in. I think that there would be some issues with some of the DS games being rather large though. It is funny but I think the 3DS will be a retro-Zelda console for me and for now I am ok with that. I have only played oracle of seasons and have never come across a copy of ages. The fact that there will be so much more coming in the future really makes me excited. I can only imagine the original downloadable games that will be out in the coming months.

I want Virtual Boy games. The Wario one is really good, I’ve played it a bit on an emulator.
Yellow Bear
dont really think it would be for the eshop but the need to make metroid prime hunters 3D

Somewhat off-topic, but has anyone else wondered if Project Cafe will allow portable games to stream to the screen controller? I’d love to see the eShop do that!

OK, so here’s what would make the Nintendo eShop REALLY CLICK with me for games I really want to see on the service.
Metroid II: Return Of Samus [ GAME BOY ]
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins [ GAME BOY ]
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 [ GAME BOY ]
Wario Land 2 [ GAME BOY / GAME BOY COLOR ]
Donkey Kong Land [ GAME BOY ]
Donkey Kong Land 2 [ GAME BOY ]
Donkey Kong Land III [ GAME BOY ]
The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Seasons [ GAME BOY COLOR ]
The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Ages [ GAME BOY COLOR ]
Castle Of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse [ GAME GEAR ]
Mortal Kombat [ GAME GEAR ]
Mortal Kombat II [ GAME GEAR ]
Now I can think of others for when the time comes but I do agree with Kaherka and Ac.
Especially with Kaherka about the Virtual Boy Wario Land title. I only played a demo of that at Toys ‘R’ Us a long long time back, but heck, that game looked wicked. Even if it was in red & black. But for when it comes to Virtual Boy titles if they put some on there, PLEASE!! put Mario’s Tennis on the eShop when the service is up and running. I played the heck out of that game any and every chance I could at my local Blockbuster Video in the mid-early late 90’s, close to 1996 or I think it was 1996? But to me, the Mario Tennis series would NOT and I MEAN WOULD NOT be Mario Tennis had not for Mario’s Tennis back on Virtual Boy! That in my mind was what kick started the series imo. But ya, VB games also Nintendo, please.

Almost forgot, can’t forget about the Mega Man 1 – 5 for the eShop also 😉
CM30
Legend of Zelda Oracle games
Donkey Kong Land 1 and 2
Wario Land 2 and 3 (because I already own/beat number 1)
Metroid II
Legend of Zelda Link’s Awakening
Those are the games I want to see on the service, in the Virtual Console section. No interest in possible new download only games.

Mega Man Legends 3 …. if it weren’t delayed. (You didn’t limit this to VC, did you?)
For VC…I only ever played one game on my gameboy and gameboy colour. Well…five, technically. Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, and Crystal.
You know how it is when you’re that young and your parents see the gameboy as a toy in itself–why should I buy accessories for this? It works just fine!–but my brother and I just ended up swapping Red + Blue, traded a friend for Yellow, and my brother and I traded Gold + Crystal as well (we were late to the Colour party)

Id prefer if they were in their original black and red. Though I wouldn’t a colored version as an option.
Also I’m looking for classics redone in 3D. Like LttP that was alluded to.

I have to tell you, I noticed I don’t play the home consols as much as I used to. I do however find that I’m playing my handheld more often.
I know I would love to play alot of classic games on the Wii but for some reason don’t and for some reason I would probably play them more on the 3DS when they come out.
Question: Will the 3DS be able to play the old NES and SNES games? I have heard that it might.
Timothy
Oh I got a game I would like to play. I’ll like to play the Wario Land game that was on the Virtual Boy, according to the Video Game Nerd it was pretty good.
Holly
Metroid II. How’m I gonna play every last Metroid game without it? (http://nintendolifeline.blogspot.com/search/label/metroid)
