Although Nintendo has a new portable with fancy stereoscopic 3D, there are still developers who want a chunk of the 147 million DS pie. This September, WayForward Technologies will release a new game based on the Aliens franchise for Nintendo’s aging portable giving the Nintendo DS a breath of fresh air. Aliens: Infestation is a side-scrolling action title being published by Sega, and will feature a large selection of weapons and tools from the Aliens series. Sega is saying that there will be an upgrade and collectible system, making the the title sound like it will have a Metroid-vania feel to it.
Given the pedigree of WayForward, Aliens: Infestation is a title that deserves a look when it finally releases this fall. Head past the break to check out a few more screens of the game.
