Infendo Review: Danmaku Unlimited 3 (Switch)

If you’re looking for a shoot ’em up/bullet hell-type game in a clean, professional package, Danmaku Unlimited 3 may be the answer to that search. A challenging yet oddly accommodating game, it provides the player with a set of ever increasingly difficult levels and tasks you with mastering your own ship’s movement to eliminate enemies and progress forward. There are a few unlock...

Nintendo Finally Gives us Switch Rewards…Somewhat

Time to hit those coin blocks We’ve heard about it for the past month, and we’ve been waiting for it for the past year; with the creation and launch of My Nintendo, the replacement to the once-hallow-then-shallow Club Nintendo, we were given a slew of monthly rotating digital rewards – from mobile phone backgrounds to discounts on Wii U and 3DS games (most of which are games that...

Infendo Review: WanderjahR TryAgainOrWalkAway

What I played of it I absolutely adored. I love the variety of enemies and the humor of the game. It is bright, colorful, and it's so much fun to see a well thought out strategy come to fruition. But, it is a hardcore strategy game that will require a lot of planning, strategizing, and a bit of luck, which I simply did not have. I mentioned on Infendo Radio Episode 429 that I was pleasantly surpri...

Infendo Review: WanderjahR TryAgainOrWalkAway

It’s no secret that there are a plethora of games available on the Switch. Every week, we get anywhere from five to twenty new games. And, unfortunately, it can be very difficult to sort out the good from the bad sometimes. One that should not be ignored, is WanderjahR. As far as the genre goes, this one is a little bit tough to describe. It is definitely an RPG. You have a team of four char...

My Lunch in Gaming #2: Retro City Rampage DX (Switch)

Retro City Rampage DX seems to take every advantage to reference, well, anything. I am still very early in the game and I have already had a Duck Hunt, Mortal Kombat II, and a Mario Bros. references (all excellent). Retro City Rampage DX’s introduction to gameplay mechanics moves a little fast early on. What I mean is a lot is introduced to you very quickly. You are tasked with helping rob a ba...

My Lunch in Gaming #2: Retro City Rampage DX (Switch)

I love portable gaming. So I play video games everywhere I can, including while at work. What follows are my thoughts for FEB/5/2018-FEB/9/2018 while playing Retro City Rampage DX during My Lunch in Gaming.   FEB/5/2018 On my way to my hideout I ran over a bunch of people (on accident?) while driving and earned an Achievement. This is my introduction to Retro City Rampage DX. Anyone who has p...

Let’s Get Muddy! Mutant Mudds Collection Review

By Steve Peacock Mutant Mudds Collection is a collection of two of the games that put Atooi on the map, and a bonus brand new puzzle game taking place in the same world. At only $14.99, this title is a deal that should not be passed up by any retro platforming fan. That’s right, for $5 each, you get two formerly $10 games, and a third game that has never before been released. Can’t go ...

Let’s Get Muddy! Mutant Mudds Collection Review

I've gone on for much longer than I originally intended to in this review. I guess that speaks to just how amazing this game is. When I played on 3DS, I longed for the full screen the Wii U offered. The Vita Version gave me that, but lacked cross save so I could play on the TV or on the go. The collection on Switch satiates all of those needs, and gave us a bonus puzzle game. Why are  you still re...

How Would You Like that Cooked?: Super Meat Boy (Switch) Review

By Steve Peacock Meat Boy, one of the original faces of Indie games, makes his debut on Nintendo Switch. Super Meat Boy, is a tough-as-nails platformer that tasks you with saving the love of Meat Boy’s life, Bandage Girl, from the Evil Dr. Fetus. The mechanics are simple. Run to get to the goal (Bandage Girl) as quickly as possible. Jump from platform to platform to avoid certain death. And ...

How Would You Like that Cooked?: Super Meat Boy (Switch) Review

For only $15ish, Super Meat Boy on Switch is an absolute steal. It even adds a Switch exclusive two player mode that can be played with the joy-con split set up. At the time of writing, I have not had the chance to play that mode. There are also some extra challenges. I do not know for sure if they are also exclusive to Switch, buy they are there. This is definitely a game you should not miss.

My Lunch in Gaming: The End Is Nigh (Switch)

As stated my thumbs hurt and my hands are sweaty. I guess that is expected from a game like this. Having never played Super Meat Boy I feel like I did pretty well with this game so far. I really like the artistic style of the game, the controls are very tight, and the music/sound effects are great. As my lunch break comes to an end I would totally recommend The End Is Nigh. It is a great game for ...
