TIME had their fun a week or so ago, and asked Internet users to navigate the tubes and nominate who they thought was the most important person of the year.
According to Internet voters, who are comprised of anyone from Average Joe to Man in his underpants, Miyamoto got 9th overall. He was bested by the likes of Sanjaya Malakar, Harry Potter author and billionaire J.K. Rowlings, and 24’s Kiefer Sutherland (who threatened torture if he did not make the top 10).
However, in the list that counted, Miyamoto got a more modest 92 out of 100. His pithy bio was written by none other than Fatal1ty, a man who’s made far more money than is decent or necessary playing video games.
