My Western Horse 3D is not the sort of game I would normally search out to purchase. However, when given the opportunity to give it a test drive, I thought why not. This game is definitely for the younger crowd, mostly geared towards girls. Since I have two daughter’s (One in high school) I knew that both would thoroughly enjoy the game. Before I passed it off to them for approval, I took the plunge and dove in head first.
This is exactly what you would expect from a simulation/strategy game of this sort. You start out with a somewhat lengthy tutorial, which is perfect for the younger crowd, however I button mashed through it. Your first task is to pet, groom, wash, and feed your horse (which I named Glue, by the way) and then you move on to other tasks such as galloping and such. I played for about an hour and found it to be fairly fun for a type of game that I would never consider. However, once I passed it off to my girls, well…I still don’t have my 3DS back. So, I would have to say that for the adult, you might want to pass this one by. But, if you have a daughter, or two, this is well worth the $29.99. The developer, Treva Entertainment, put a lot of care into this game and it is evident through the gameplay. If you purchase it for your child(ren), be sure to share your thoughts with us below!
