It appears to be true; E3 for next year and beyond has been cancelled. Big publishers are claiming not a big enough return on investment as they blow millions of dollars on the event. This year was the first time I’ve been, and I’m glad I got the opportunity to go though feel for any that hoped to in the future.
What’s expected to happen are smaller events spread throughout the year and targeted for specific companies. The possible good news is that there might be a Nintendo only conference, similar to their E3 press briefings followed by a smaller show floor solely dedicated to Ninty. That would rock!
What say ye, Infendoians? What will be most missed from a lack of E3? Or will it be missed at all?
