There are seven different train stations scattered about Japan with DS download access points where you can get what the Japanese website calls “Really Fast Ghost Data.” The courses are either ROB on Mushroom Highway or Yoshi on Peach Circuit. Of other interest is an ongoing time trial tournament that’s run similarly to the internet ranking system used in a lot of Konami music games. Basically the website gives you a few different courses to play and if you get and post one of the top times before March 19th you can win a Mario Kart DS skin set. While technically anyone could enter the time trial contest, posting your info requires entering your address so non-Japanese denizens need not apply.
