Japanese DS gets an official TV hookup

dsterebi.jpgJapanese cellphones have it, cars have it, the PSP has it, why not the DS? Come next month Japanese DS owners be able to pick up DS Terebi, or “DS Television,” a TV receiver that plugs into the DS game slot and allows you to watch TV on the 1seg network, the same band that other Japanese mobile devices have been tapping into for the past few years. The cart also has a couple of tools on it that appear to let you take notes on shows you are watching, check your signal strength, and relax your eyes after a long staring session. Like a lot of other adapters for the system, the product will be sold on Nintendo’s home page in addition to in stores.
