DS Sells Out in Japan

The DS, recently having earned the title of “fast selling system…ever” in Japan, is now officially sold out. In a message on Nintendo’s Japanese Webpage, (maybe our Japanese educated readers may be able to tell us exactly what is said) the company apologizes for the lack of systems, and hopes to have supplies fully replenished in Japan by the end of the month.

It’s amazing what a few big titles can do for a system. Early word on holiday sales in Japan, indicate some huge numbers for Brain Training 2, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, Animal Crossing, and Mario Kart.
