Sweet mockups! But would you really want one of these..?
We’re not sure about the validity of this claim, but apparently the Big N sent the above pictured DS Lite package to President George “Dubya” Bush for his birthday. This can’t be a publicity move, right? I mean, the man is tanking horribly in opinion polls, so I don’t know how this would benefit Nintendo PR.
Despite what SI Kids is saying, Chris Morris from CNN/Money believes Wii may hit store shelves in early October, over a month before the PS3’s expected late November launch. From the article: “A pre-November launch wouldn’t be an unusual move for the company. In fact, it was only with the GameCube that the company opted for a November release for a home system. The NES, which est...
Club Skill has put together their thoughts on what Nintendo needs to do if the company wants to return as the market share leader. From the article: “You’re back in the race Nintendo, and if you play the cards you’ve always had since the days of the NES, you could possibly come out of this battle on top. The games are what you’ve got, and with the graphical prowess of the P...
Happy Independence Day from all at Infendo. May the fireworks, barbecues, and games be great. What do you plan on doing today? Also 4cr writes: “Challenge Mode puts a forced scroll on all the levels [NSMB] just like with the original Super Mario Bros. game.” To unlock, go into the World Map pause screen, enter this button combination: L R L R X X Y Y, and the screen will flash “W...
If you haven’t already heard, the grapevine has it that Nintendo Wii will launch on November 6, this according to Sports Illustrated for Kids (pictured). Would Nintendo really break its launch date to a kids’ sports mag? My guess is this is speculative. Thoughts? [Thanks to all that sent this in]
According to Media Create, the Nintendo DS (original and Lites combined) will sell through a total of 10 million units by August. Club Skill writes: “Nintendo must be jumping around their Kyoto HQ while drinking sake, because it doesn’t happen that often to sell ten million units that fast. Actually, it has never happened before.” “Sake to me, baby!”

Along side Japanese pop-artist Utada Hikaru’s upcoming concert tour “Utada United 2006,” Nintendo of Japan is offering thirty Club Nintendo members the chance to play against the pop-star via Tetris DS later this Summer. There is another contest on the same page to win tickets to her concert tour instead, but how much cooler would it be to say you beat Utada Hikaru (or got beaten...
This is what Nintendo should’ve launched alongside the Micro if they wanted it to sell. bitGenerations are sort of the Touch Generations equivalent of the GBA; they’re small games focused on simple gameplay. There are 7 of them currently, divided into series 1 and series 2, and are all based on light and sound, lending them a cool techno-ish vibe. At the moment, the website allows you ...
Our friends over at 4cr found a real keeper; Bowser’s Castle played on a big ‘ole pipe organ. Very cool stuff if you’re into Nintendo, Mario, and pipe organs. Sounds real good turned way up. Also, leave us a voice mail if you haven’t already for tomorrow’s Infendo Radio: 206-338-BIGN (2446). Let us know what Miyamoto’s next “secret project” will be.
