Age of Empires DS

French gaming site, Jeux-France, has posted screens of the upcoming Age of Empires DS. The DS version will be turn-based strategy rather than the real-time strategy of previous iterations of the game. It will offer four-player multiplayer gameplay, but I would really like to see online play. Still, in its present form, the game is looking great.

Read the Age of Empires DS Press Release for more details on the game.

  1. Ah so that’s why there was the unusual thing on the top screen! I wonder why they chose turn base over real time? I guess maybe the DS doesn’t quite have the processing power for real-time combat, but turn base is quite respectable still. Wi-fi would of been nice, but ah well maybe the sequel if it sells enough.

  2. I think turn based is the way to go for handhelds… You can look up to see if you’re at your subway stop (or if you can cross the road) without having to pause or worry about missing something vital.

  3. Yeah thats kinda why I thought turn base would be better too. But maybe with a real time option.

  4. Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favourite justification seemed to be at the internet the simplest factor to keep in mind of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed whilst other folks consider issues that they just do not recognise about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the highest as neatly as defined out the entire thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will probably be again to get more. Thank you

  5. Currently it sounds like Movable Type is the best blogging platform available right now.
(from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
