For a limited time only you can go to a Game Stop and score a rare genetically mutating Pokémon named Deoxys. You can get him either this weekend 6/20/ - 6/22 or next weekend 6/27/ - 6/29. Although the flier does not mention how you can download him, I would suggest that you unlock the “Mystery Gift” option just in case. Deoxys comes with NeverMeltIce and the following moves, Psycho Boost, Zap Cannon, Iron Defense, and Extreme Speed. Don’t miss out on this limited chance to get a new Pokémon.
I wonder if Nintendo is planning to announce a new Pokémon game sometime soon and they are just building some hype with these rare Pokémon give aways… hmmm…

Platinum has been announced, but no release date for the US (or mabye even Japan) han been revealed.

Got him yesterday. You need to select Mystery Gift from the main menu, then select Via Wireless, just like the Toys R Us events. Then get Deoxys from the green deliveryman in any PokeMart. Keep the legendaries coming, Nintendo!!!

The word ‘Pokémon’ builds enough hype to sell games. These extra mini events merely sweeten it all up.

As suggested in the forums, it would be amazing if Nintendo would give away Pokemon through the Nintendo Channel on Wii.

I got him a LONG time ago. Anyway, I can’t wait for Pokemon Platinum. Actually, I can wait. But it’ll be cool to get it.

It’s a good thing you mentioned to unlock Mystery Gift. If you didn’t I would of wasted my time going to my local GS. Getting mystery gift is tricky in Diamond and Pearl. Also LULZ @ GameStoppo.

Well, Mystery Gift actually unlocks for you. I found that out myself by bringing a friends’ game in there that was very early on in the game, and it brought up a little menu that basically said Mystery Gift was now available.
Anywho, I got like 5 Deoxys last year at the NASA Space Center in Houston, but that didn’t stop me from getting three more today

i just went to the mall and game stop has failed me once again. i did not get deoxys cuz the lady said she didn’t receive “the thingy” game stop crenshaw mall burn in hell
