Opera Software has announced June 4th of this year to be the release date for their Nintendo DS web browser in North America. No pricing information as of yet, but with the October ’06 European release of this software retailing for €40 Euros, it’s safe to assume that the American release will retail for $30-35 USD.
Now if some benevolent organization could just whip up an American GPRS or equivalent attachment for the DS so we wouldn’t have to be within range of a wireless router to make use of this software, the DS could come very close to obsoleting my phone. As it stands, it should still give me the functionality required to make snarky comments on the internet from work. Technology.
