This summer, Disney will release Disney Magic Castle: My Happy Life on the 3DS in Japan. The game allows you to adventure with Miis and eighty of your favorite Disney characters within and around the Magic Castle. Although I prefer the Mickey in the Kingdom Hearts series, I wouldn’t mind giving this a few hours of my time.
What I find more intriguing than the game itself is that they are releasing a limited edition 3DS XL alongside the game. The white handheld will feature gold and white Mickey head silhouettes along with the Magic Castle logo.
This is not my favorite limited edition 3DS XL, but it makes me a bit jealous that we don’t get all the cool editions here in the US. On the flip side, my wife would probably be a little upset if we did…hmmm, pay the mortgage, or get a new 3DS…I might have to start sleeping in our game room…
anyway, what are your thoughts on the limited edition consoles/handhelds? Should they just release protective cases instead of brand new units?
