Clubhouse Games Needs a Remake

Who remembers Clubhouse Games, the Nintendo DS classic? We have very fond memories of this game, both playing single-player, and online multiplayer. This is by far, one of the best games on the Nintendo DS, and here’s why:

Retro Review – Geometry Wars Galaxies (DS)

This game will make your thumbs hurt, but in a good way. The original Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved was made to be used with two sticks and not a D-Pad and buttons. But Geometry Wars Galaxies works very well on a DS. I did re-play Gemetry Wars Galaxies on my 3DS. One of the nice things about playing on this system rather than the original DS is that you can use the control stick to move your ship. ...

Retro Review – Geometry Wars Galaxies (DS)

Geometry Wars Galaxies is a twin stick multi-direction shooter where the point of the game is to live as long as you can while trying to get the highest score possible. This is done by shooting the never-ending onslaught of enemies that the game continues to throw at you. You start the game by entering a solar system that is made up of a number of planets. Each planet is a different level with a d...

Retro Review – Contra 4 (DS)

I haven’t played that many Contra games. Prior to Contra 4 the only Contra game I’ve had any real previous experience with is Operation C for the Game Boy and a little Contra III too on the SNES. Contra 4 feels right at home with those games. As the name of the game indicates this is a direct sequel to Contra III: The Alien Wars. So expect to fight against never ending hordes of various military t...

Retro Review – Contra 4 (DS)

At the time of its original release this was only the second portable Contra game in the series. Contra 4 does an amazing job at being both new and nostalgic at the same time. It is able to hit all the things that make a Contra game fun to play while also adding something to the series. And for player looking for a challenge Contra 4 delivers. This game is definitely recommended for anyone that wa...

My Games Are Better Than Yours: Eugene’s Top 10 List of Games That Don’t Suck

Coming up with a list of ‘Best’ or ‘Top’ anything can be tricky. Just listen to Episode 400. For one, there isn’t a person on the planet who has played EVERYTHING, including the Infendo crew. While I might think a game such as Illusion of Gaia deserves top praise on any list, the vast majority of people don’t know what it is, or simply haven’t played it. Additionally, a beloved game such as Breath...

Steve Peacock’s Top 25 Favorite Nintendo Games

The idea for this article stemmed from Infendo Radio Episode 400. If you have not listened to that show….why are you here? Go listen! It was fantastic. The group had the idea to do an individual top 25 list, and I was the first one to say that sounded like a great idea. I was not able to be on 400, and was very disappointed by some of the games that got cut. For those of you that know me, you will...

Video: U.S. Pokemon Black & White 2 commercial

With its October 6 release creeping up fast, Nintendo of America is beginning to roll out the U.S. advertisements for Pokemon Black & White 2 for the Nintendo DS. As a special bonus, consumers who purchase the game early will be eligible to receive Genesect, a newly discovered mythical Pokemon, which I or may not be familiar with. Being one of the final Nintendo-published DS games to possibly ...

New Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 trailer is amazing, despite not showing a lick of gameplay

My excitement level for Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 has been tepid at best. For one, I’m still bitter that the game will be a Nintendo DS title as opposed to Nintendo’s newest toy the 3DS. I understand all the reasoning behind Nintendo’s decision: the Nintendo DS has sold an ungodly amount of units and Nintendo is in the business to make money. Sure. I still however believe that ...

Nintendo Releases Shipment Numbers of 3 Top Franchises

Nintendo has recently released data showing the worldwide shipment figures for three of it’s coveted franchises: Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Mario Kart.  The charts below show the units shipped in millions.  and start from the franchise beginnings and continue to the present. Some of the figures might be surprising, such as Super Mario Bros 1 out shipping all other Mario Bros almos...

Nintentunes can’t get enough Skyward Sword, so it’s an all Zelda edition!

Today I finished what may be one of the finest Zelda adventures yet in Skyward Sword, and to celebrate this edition of Nintentunes is all Zelda, all the time! This time we will travel through the handheld versions of the Zelda franchise which contain fantastic music in their own right. Gameboy – Avenging Spirit One of my favorite elements of the Nintendo download services is the ability to download classic games. When the eShop Gameboy version of Avenging Spirit was released a few months ago for the 3DS eShop, I may have been one of the few people jumping for joy and looking for my credit card to put down the 3 bucks to purchase the game. I remember playing the game for ho...
