After being conspicuously absent from Sega’s big reveal earlier this month, a Wii version of Virtua Tennis 2009 was confirmed Saturday for the Wii.
It will reportedly feature all the same modes and games as its beefy cousins on the Xbox 360 and PS3, as well as some lighter fare that was probably shoe-horned in at the last second the capitalize on the non-existent, but nevertheless pandered to, casual mini-game demographic.
Lastly, the Wii version might also contain support for the MotionPlus attachment, although that’s strictly a rumor for now. We’ll definitely know more as we approach the May release date.
