This week in worldwide sales

Spanning the globe to bring you data, Gamasutra rounds up some new sales figures. Wii’s numbers haven’t changed much this week. Over in DS Land, good ol’ Brain Age jumps back up to #1 thanks to an Amazon.com promotion, apparently. With their rankings disappearing from Nintendo Power, too, no one cares about the GameCube or GBA anymore.

Nintendo Wii
North America: 1. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo), 2. WarioWare: Smooth Moves (Nintendo), 3. Rayman Raving Rabbids (Ubisoft), 4. Excite Truck (Nintendo), 5. Madden NFL 07 (EA Sports).

Japan: 1. Wii Sports (Nintendo), 2. Hajimete no Wii (Nintendo), 3. Zelda no Densetsu: Twilight Princess (Nintendo), 4. Excite Truck (Nintendo), 5. Odoru Made in Wario (Nintendo).

UK: 1. Wii Play (Nintendo), 2. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo), 3. WarioWare: Smooth Moves (Nintendo), 4. Rayman Raving Rabbids (Ubisoft), 5. Red Steel (Ubisoft).

Nintendo DS

North America: 1. Brain Age (Nintendo), 2. Diddy Kong Racing DS (Nintendo), 3. New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo), 4. Big Brain Academy (Nintendo), 5. Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (Nintendo).

Japan: 1. Picross DS (Nintendo), 2. Wish Room: Tenshi no Kioku (Nintendo), 3. Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker (Square Enix), 4. Sekaiju no Meikyuu (Atlus), 5. Kanshuu Nippon Joushikiryoku Kentei Kyoukai: Imasara Hito ni wa Kikenai Otona no Joushikiryoku Training DS (Nintendo).

UK: 1. New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo), 2. Mario Kart DS (Nintendo), 3. Big Brain Academy (Nintendo), 4. Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training (Nintendo), 5. Animal Crossing: Wild World (Nintendo).

Wow! Even though it’s been out in Japan since October, Kanshuu Nippon Joushikiryoku Kentei Kyoukai: Imasara Hito ni wa Kikenai Otona no Joushikiryoku Training DS is still in the top five.

The question is, do you care about sales numbers or find them interesting?
