Open-world Zelda confirmed for Wii U

We were promised a tease of the new next-gen Zelda title for the Wii U, and that’s what we got during Nintendo’s Digital Event.

In a brief presentation by longtime Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma, we are shown a glimpse of the world and art style to land of Hyrule. Aonuma later mentions the game will be open-world and the player can choose wherever they want to go.

The short clip is embedded above. Enjoy.

For years, he has purchased every one of the company's subsequent products (yes, including the Virtual Boy and eReader). It wasn't until he was a young teen when he bought a PS2 that he began to embrace cross-console relations, a decision he doesn't regret. When he's not gaming, Harrison is looking to break into the magazine journalism industry and realize his dream of becoming a features reporter.

  1. So it’s a copy of Skyrim.

  2. ^A copy of Skyrim? Troll harder?

  3. You should be able to use proper English as you call yourself a poet.

A troll is a fictional creature. It’s not a verb!

  4. It’s slang. Poets are at perfect liberty to use slang. Also, I think this’ll be far from a copy of Skyrim. But really, none of us can say for sure, can we, with so few details?
