Report: Nintendo to unveil Wii U release date and pricing on September 13 in NYC

The moment we’ve all been waiting for ever since the conclusion of E3 2012 could be upon us, as Nintendo of America is planning to unveil the Wii U’s release date and pricing at a special event in New York City on September 13. According to a media invite to Kotaku and other outlets, the event will be hosted by NoA president Reggie Fils-Aime and promises to shed more light on the Wii U, its games, and user interface. In addition, the invite informs us that we will learn “more about how the Wii U will change the future of gaming and entertainment.”

Now, the initial invite doesn’t spell out that the Wii U’s release date and pricing will be unveiled; however, given the history of past media events in New York held by Nintendo, it’s safe to say that the release and price information many desire is certain.

For years, he has purchased every one of the company's subsequent products (yes, including the Virtual Boy and eReader). It wasn't until he was a young teen when he bought a PS2 that he began to embrace cross-console relations, a decision he doesn't regret. When he's not gaming, Harrison is looking to break into the magazine journalism industry and realize his dream of becoming a features reporter.
