I must admit I’m not all that familiar with the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series, but I do know the original was released on the GBA, then re-released on the Nintendo 3DS as part of the Ambassador program (which means I played it, but not for long: I no longer have my Ambassador system).

Fans of the series may get excited over a demo that appeared on the show floor at this year’s Game Developer Conference. As you can see from the video above, a Mario vs. Donkey Kong Wii U demo was fully playable as an example of Nintendo’s Web Framework technology (a technology that allows eShop developers to more easily make games for Wii U). The demo suggests a possible release later on of a full Mario vs. Donkey Kong game. Nothing is official yet, but it’s fun to hope.

In addition to being a girl gamer, Holly prides herself on being a red-head. Consequently, the blue shell in the Mario Kart series is her natural enemy. Don't worry, though: she still loves Mario Kart and is very good, despite the occasional blue shell-sabotaged race. Like any Nintendo fan, Holly also loves Zelda, Pokemon, Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Kirby...you name it. But she'll try just about anything (besides horror games) and has a soft spot for unique, little-known rhythm games like Rhythm Heaven and Samba de Amigo. NNID: Aeroweth
