Nintendo shared some new information for Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS and Mario Kart 8 during this morning’s Nintendo Direct. Princess Rosalina, who was first introduced in Super Mario Galaxy in 2007, will now be a playable character in both of Nintendo’s upcoming multiplayer titles.

Rosalina’s appearance marks the fourth new character to be added to the Smash Bros. roster, followed by Mega Man, Animal Crossing’s Villager, and the Wii Fit Trainer. In addition to Rosalina joining the cast of Super Smash Bros., she will also make a return to the Mario Kart franchise, alongside baby versions of several Mario characters. Unfortunately, no information on a solid release date for Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS or Mario Kart 8 were announced during today’s Nintendo Direct.

You can check out both trailer reveals of Rosalina in Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8 above and below respectively. Enjoy.
