Here’s one we didn’t see coming. Beyond Good and Evil 2 saw an amazing cinematic trailer today during the Ubisoft E3 2018 Conference, which can be viewed below.
Some very early, pre-alpha gameplay was shown of one of the game’s cities, though not much beyond a few establishing shots were shown.
During the Ubisoft E3 2018 Conference, the team claimed to be building a massive universe for this game to take place in. As such, they have extended an open invitation for everyone to contribute ideas, art, music and more to be added to the game. The plan is for a massive collaboration for everyone, at any skill level, to submit art of any form to be featured in the game, be it music, street art or anything else you can think of.
The original Beyond Good And Evil was a cult classic, and went on to create a fan following that was absolutely massive considering the flash-in-the-pan effect the game had on the industry as a whole. Fans of Beyond Good And Evil have been waiting years to hear about some kind of sequel, and this little teaser of sorts should satisfy that fanbase, at least momentarily.
Unfortunately, there was no word on platforms, or whether the Nintendo Switch would be amoung them. Let’s hold our collective breaths and hope Nintendo makes the cut, because this one looks absolutely gorgeous, and as we all know, everything’s better on the Switch.
