Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition – Infendo Tag Team Review

Steve: Something happened to me with a game that I can only remember happening a small handful of times. I bought a game not once, not twice, but three times. Yes, three separate times. When Hyrule Warriors came to Wii U, I bought it and all of the DLC they offered for it ($69.98 total cost). I was quite happy with the game, but it got exceptionally difficult very quickly. Then, a couple of years ...

Why Be Cranky About Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze?

??Watch Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze from Jentas on www.twitch.tv For listeners of Infendo Radio, it’s no secret that I am not a huge fan of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. My wife and I played through the first three worlds together on Wii U. I played as Diddy, Dixie, and Cranky, and she played as Donkey Kong. Together we were able to conquer a lot of the game, but my goodness w...

Crafting A Bridge Between The Consoles

Well, the day we have all been waiting for is almost here! The Minecraft Bedrock update is nearly upon us. Microsoft announced this week that the Minecraft Bedrock update will hit Nintendo Switch consoles June 21st, 2018! I’ve been getting a lot of questions, both from my co-hosts and from listeners alike. And that’s what I’m hear today to do: Answer some of the most common quest...

Infendo Review: WanderjahR TryAgainOrWalkAway

By Steve Peacock It’s no secret that there are a plethora of games available on the Switch. Every week, we get anywhere from five to twenty new games. And, unfortunately, it can be very difficult to sort out the good from the bad sometimes. One that should not be ignored, is WanderjahR. As far as the genre goes, this one is a little bit tough to describe. It is definitely an RPG. You have a ...

Let’s Get Muddy! Mutant Mudds Collection Review

By Steve Peacock Mutant Mudds Collection is a collection of two of the games that put Atooi on the map, and a bonus brand new puzzle game taking place in the same world. At only $14.99, this title is a deal that should not be passed up by any retro platforming fan. That’s right, for $5 each, you get two formerly $10 games, and a third game that has never before been released. Can’t go ...

How Would You Like that Cooked?: Super Meat Boy (Switch) Review

By Steve Peacock Meat Boy, one of the original faces of Indie games, makes his debut on Nintendo Switch. Super Meat Boy, is a tough-as-nails platformer that tasks you with saving the love of Meat Boy’s life, Bandage Girl, from the Evil Dr. Fetus. The mechanics are simple. Run to get to the goal (Bandage Girl) as quickly as possible. Jump from platform to platform to avoid certain death. And ...

A Rainbow of Thoughts: Link-A-Pix Color for 3DS Review

By Steve Peacock Link-A-Pix Color is a puzzle game available for download on the 3DS eShop. Retailing for $7.99, this is a very reasonably priced game. At first glance, one might blow this off as a simple Picross clone. This is very inaccurate from what you actually get. This game sees you on a grid. Inside this grid are numbers of different colors. The number itself represents the number of conne...

Nugget of Wisdom: A Chicken Wiggle Review

By Steve Peacock There are a few developers I follow very closely. Yacht Club Games (Shovel Knight) and Gajin Games (Bit.Trip series) are two of the three that come to mind right off the bat. The one we are going to focus on today, Atooi, founded by Jools Watsham, is another of those devs. He is best known for Mutant Mudds, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, and Xeodrifter. He is one of those devs that...

Mining for a Crafty Review

Minecraft Switch Edition By Steve Peacock Wow! For the better part of two weeks I’ve been saying I was going to get this review written. The funny thing about game reviews is how when the game is good, it is really difficult to put the game down long enough to write the review. With a game as old as Minecraft, I don’t feel like it needs much of an introduction. You can get that from a quick Google...

Indie Indeed: What Makes an Independent Game Team?

Lukas Termini Independent game design is something that we discuss a lot on Infendo Radio, and as a subject it’s been particularly thought provoking for me. This is because I’ve spent the last 12 years of my life with the aspiration of eventually making game design my single profession, whether through corporate or independent means. It’s something that’s very personal to me, and it causes me to s...

Steve Peacock’s Top 25 Favorite Nintendo Games

The idea for this article stemmed from Infendo Radio Episode 400. If you have not listened to that show….why are you here? Go listen! It was fantastic. The group had the idea to do an individual top 25 list, and I was the first one to say that sounded like a great idea. I was not able to be on 400, and was very disappointed by some of the games that got cut. For those of you that know me, you will...

Review: NES30 Pro and FC30 Pro Controllers by 8Bitdo

Nintendo Switch Review By Steve Peacock Thinking back to when I preordered my Switch, I remember thinking how cool it was that the Switch was ready for two people to play right out of the box. We don’t generally have people over to play games with us, so I figured I would be okay with just the Joy-Con that come in the box. Boy, was I wrong. When Mario Kart 8 Deluxe came out, I began to look ...
