A Smash Bros. fan’s Sakurai posters are a thing of beauty

While sifting through the tips we get emailed to us from Infendo readers, I was intrigued by the subject line of one I received this morning: Masahiro Sakurai LEGEND Poster. I immediately clicked and was enthralled by artist Joshua Redfearn’s attached images, which are a tribute to famed Super Smash Bros. designer Masahiro Sakurai.

Titled “LEGEND,” Redfearn’s posters were created to honor the legacy of the popular fighting game series. The poster has hundreds of in-game images (the images can only be seen up close) from the the soon-t0-be released Super Smasg Bros. title for the Wii U and 3DS to form the face of Sakurai. In addition, Redfearn also included a quote from Sakurai that appeared in a past issue of Famitsu. The quote reads, To be honest, I’ve sometimes thought about what I’m earning for myself, going through all this life-changing struggle. But the pain I feel at the time goes away over time, and yet the game itself always remains.”

Powerful words from a man that has given us so much joy in allowing us to have our favorite Nintendo characters pummel each other into oblivion.

Redfearn’s posters are currently available through Zazzle and can be purchased here. You can also check out Redfearn’s other designs at his website. With that being said, I’ll take two, Joshua. Stellar work from a rabid Smash Bros. fan.

For years, he has purchased every one of the company's subsequent products (yes, including the Virtual Boy and eReader). It wasn't until he was a young teen when he bought a PS2 that he began to embrace cross-console relations, a decision he doesn't regret. When he's not gaming, Harrison is looking to break into the magazine journalism industry and realize his dream of becoming a features reporter.
