Watch your step, Rock. Little Mac is back.

Confirming rumors reported Tuesday on Infendo, Nintendo has announced a new Punch-Out!! game is in development for Wii.

We’ve embedded a video montage of Wii titles shown at Nintendo’s Japanese press conference. The footage showcases first footage of Punch-Out!! Wii, among several notable games including Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Sin & Punishment 2 and a new Trace Memory for Wii.

Punch-Out!! Wii is scheduled to release in the first half of 2009.

Yes Punch Out! I was hoping for this!

They showed in the video a skiing game that looked a lot like We Ski. Does anybody know what that game was called (my Japanese is about as good as my Greek). Is it a First party game?
Also I wonder how many of these titles shown were first party as compared to third party.

What’s that God of War type game shown at 1:09 in? Do want. Punch out too!

This looks really promising :) So pretty huge sequel surprises there. I would never have guessed that there’d be a Trace Memory or the Sin and Punishment sequel on the Wii.

    Blake: It’s Rygar.

Impressive line-up from Nintendo for 2009.

11 Unannounced games, and that is just Wii.
DS has about 10 games from Nintendo as well.

    @ Myst

    Thanks for the translations.
Looks like some really good games coming out (at least in Japan, hopefully many / most of these will make it to our shores as well).

I thought we would be getting a first glimpse of Pikmin 3 during this event, I was surprised to see that it was left out. Perhaps I was being too optimistic though.
