Ubisoft has confirmed in an interview with Play.tm that the highly anticipated, Tom Clancy’s EndWar is currently being developed for both the Nintendo DS, and PSP handhelds.
Each campaign will boast 30 ’scenarios’, with conflict taking place in famous locales like London and Paris. You’ll be able to create your own missions for two-player games, if you wish, or play one of the existing missions.
The handheld adaptation of the 360, PS3, and PC versions of EndWar are being handled by Funatics. The interview goes on to confirm three different campaigns (US, Russia, Europe), over 20 different units per nation, and a turn-based style of gameplay.
Tom Clancy’s EndWar is slated for a winter 2008 release.

hm… i actually worked at Funatics in GD & QA while developing the Game and it’s… well… classic.
Do you know Battle Isle? Thats exactly what you can expect from this one, including graphics. I tried to tell them, that the gameplay may not be sutable for nowaday gamers and… i’m no longer working with them.
Sad truth here in Germany, if you expect to make something new and original, dont expect to be hired here.
Well, if you are into this kind of Gameplay(round based Strategy), its really good. And there a lot of Missions. (I had to play them all, over and over again)

it looks awsome but will the graphics be any good on the ds version?

Well… when i left the company the graphics were a little better (more detailed) than Advance Wars: Dark Conflict. Maybe they improved it further but i wont bet on it.
